Tapas Club

To all tapas lovers, we’ve got great news. Tapas Club Kuala Lumpur has just launched their brand-new menu which features 2 starters, 9 tapas all priced at RM25.00. To spice things up further, they’ve taken reimagined the iconic dish, Paella by introducing Paella De Pato (Duck Paella) to the menu.

Tapas Club Kuala Lumpur situated in the well-acquainted mall, Pavillion Kuala Lumpur, first opened its door in July 2018. Tapas Club Kuala Lumpur serves authentic Spanish cuisines made with the finest ingredients.

Enough blabbering, let’s dive right into the bomb diggity food one can expect during their visit here. We’ll also share with you our personal favourites.

Kicking things off are the three best sellers on the menu. First up, we have the Spanish Omelette with Truffle Aioli. Mixed with confit potato and caramelized onions, this omellete was fluffy and light in flavour thus allowing the complementing truffle aioil to shine through.

Next, we’ve got the Garlic Prawns. This dish was simply beautiful and is our top 3 favourite tapas of the night. Pan fried fresh prawn and garlic in olive oil, topped with prawn stock for added flavour. Truly an aromatic dish which is rich in natural prawn flavours. We were careful to savour every last bit of this delicious sauce.

The last on the Best Seller menu is the signature Chicken & Seafood Paella (RM 68.00). Authentic paella to represent their commitment towards serving authentic Spanish dishes here at the Tapas Club KL. Well balanced and cooked with fresh, quality seafood, the paella was not overly creamy neither was the rice overly cooked, making it a pleasantly delectable dish.

Moving on, we’ve got the 3 NEW Tapas on the menu, starting with our personal favourite, the Txistorra and Quail Eggs on Toast. Txistorra (Chistorra) can be considered a special time of chorizo and in my opinion, it tasted similar to bacon with its texture similar to a quality sausage. Call me bias, but anything bacon-like is great food. This tapa successfully combined three of my favourite ingredients into a bite-size delight.

Here, you can also enjoy Pork Cheek with Spanish Piquillo Pepper served with mash potatoes and asparagus. The pork cheeks are slow cooked with herbs & spices before finally being topped with brown sauce. The meat was tender and is best enjoyed in a single spoonful along with the mash potatoes.

Lastly on the NEW menu, we’ve got the garlic chicken. Marinated with garlic and ginger before being pan fried and served along with confit potato, this is a simple dish that pairs extremely well with a good glass of Spanish beer. (Don’t say we didn’t tell you how to have a good time 😉).

For those in-need of a quick fix to your sweet tooth cravings, Tapas Club KL has you covered with their best sellers, the Churrros with Chocolate Sauce and the Tapas Club Cheese Cake. The churros are some of the best churros we’ve had in a long time. Light with a nice crisp and isn’t overly doughy or thick as often is the case with churros we try elsewhere. As for the deconstructed cheese cake, it is definitely a fun and unique way to enjoy the cheese cake. However, we have our reserves with the almond base biscuit which we found to be a little harder, making the experience a little less enjoyable as we would have liked the different components to melt together a lot more naturally.

Overall, we really enjoyed the food, drinks and the ambience here. Will definitely make another visit in the near future or if ever in the area.
