Lucky Tora

If you are looking for great food, we’ve got many to recommend; But if you are looking for a night to remember, there’s Lucky Tora.If you are looking for great food, we’ve got many to recommend; But if you are looking for a night to remember, there’s Lucky Tora.

Located on Jalan Mesui, right by Changkat, Lucky Tora serves up modern Asian fusion delights and cocktails. So, what makes this place so memorable you may ask? It’s the combination of scrumptious food and tasty cocktails, wonderful service, great music and relaxing ambience. Put it all together and you’ve got yourself a night worth remembering!

Do us a favour, put on your earphones and choose from Lucky Tora’s Playlist for the full experience as we share with you some of the wonderful delights we enjoyed during our recent visit.

We had the opportunity to try a variety of delights during our visit ranging from yakitori, maki, salsa, bao and ramen. As for drinks, we enjoyed a glass of Gaijin (a mix of sake, guava, apricot and lime) and a glass of Lucky Tora whisky sour (Cocktail prices range RM22 – RM38).

Something for everyone is how we’d describe the range of cocktails, wine, beer and more that is available here. Whether you are an adventurous explorer in search of new combinations of flavour or a well-grounded chap with strong preferences, you can rest assure Lucky Tora has you covered.

On our list of comfort food we’ve got a beautiful bowl of shoyu ramen served with a side of lamb and a serving of soft shell crab with mango maki. There’s nothing that soothes the soul better than slurping down a hot bowl of noodles soup. One that is lightly seasoned but rich in flavour. Best eaten after a long night out or after a tiring week at work.

As for the dishes that took our breath away that night was definitely the sashimi ceviche and salmon katsu bao. The sashimi ceviche which is a mixed of raw fish and Tora-style salsa was refreshing, flavourful and tasty. Well-balanced sweet and savory flavours topped with a dash of citrusy goodness, definitely a great starter in any occasion.

Call us bias in our review but our love for soft sweet buns run deep! Never will we look at ‘bao’ the same again after sinking our teeth into the marvellous creation. The texture of the katsu salmon compliments the softness of the buns so well as it melts away just as the buns do. Some light crisp from the fresh vege and bread crumbs gave the dish an additional dimension without taking away from its wonders.

Lucky Tora consistently introduce new food and drink menu to keep things fresh. So be sure to follow their Instagram and facebook to keep updated on all their latest offerings.

Till our next post, keep calm and keep eating fellow readers!
